Black History Month: A Reading List

MEUF is committed to exploring diverse female perspectives. With this in mind, this Black History Month we wanted to spotlight some of our favorite books by Black women.

Our approach is an intersectional one. We are aiming to honor the brilliance and influence of Black women through the power of literature. Whether you are looking for historical accounts, personal narratives or storytelling, these books offer an important selection of works on Black womanhood, identity and activism.

Our platform seeks to lift up and draw attention to as many talented women as possible. Please visit local, used bookstores or support your public libraries before buying new copies. When you are finished, pass it on to the next reader.
