Ins and Outs: 2025

My New Year's resolutions are often scribbled on hotel stationery and later forgotten in my purse. Despite writing resolutions being a tradition I relish in, this year I opted for something more practical and reflective. I find great sentimentality and enjoyment in the ritual of preparing for the New Year, allowing myself to consider intentions I will bring forth. Sitting by the fire at my cabin in Northern California on the 31st, I thought about what brings me joy and what does not. This practice resulted in the internet-inspired proclamation of what I will bring “in” to 2025 and what I believe should be left “out.” From my notes app to you, I present this list. Some aspirational, some meditative, and others just a necessary removal from my life. Borrow what you like and leave what you don’t. Happy New Year; I wish you many days of luck, light, love, and blessings.
